Honored to Present at the Association of China-Appointed Attesting Officers Limited: Artificial Intelligence & Intellectual Property
On 21 October 2025 I had the privilege of presenting to more than 200 of my fellow members of the Association of China-Appointed Attesting Officers Limited (ACAAOL) on the evolving intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property. As a China-appointed Attesting Officer myself, it was truly special to share insights with such a distinguished group of senior and very well respected solicitors.
For those unfamiliar, ACAAOL is a professional association founded in 1988, comprising legal practitioners appointed by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC. Our members play a vital role in attesting and certifying legal documents for use in Mainland China, supporting cross-border legal, economic, and cultural exchanges under the “one country, two systems” framework.
The atmosphere at our gathering was warm and collegial, with a strong sense of fraternity and shared purpose. I was very warmly received, and the lively discussion that followed my presentation underscored the collective commitment of our community to staying at the forefront of legal innovation.
Grateful for the opportunity to contribute and connect with my peers. Looking forward to more meaningful exchanges as we navigate the challenges and opportunities AI brings to our profession.
