Anthony graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1988 and has been with the firm ever since. He has a substantial practice in different areas of intellectual property related litigation involving trade marks, trade names, passing off (unfair competition), copyright, registered designs, patents, breach of confidence, confidential information etc. including cross border enforcement actions. Anthony also has substantial experience in commercial and sale of goods related litigation.
In addition to litigation, Anthony manages trademark portfolios for both local and multi-national companies. He regularly attends hearings at the Hong Kong Trade Marks Registry as an advocate.
Anthony is the Honorary Legal Adviser of the Design Council of Hong Kong, under the auspices of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, a non-profit-making statutory body created to represent and serve the interests of Hong Kong’s manufacturing industries and to foster their improvement and development, on issues relating to intellectual property. Anthony delivers regular seminars to members of the Federation as well as other statutory bodies and private organizations. Anthony has spoken regularly at the annual Business of Design Week, organized by the Hong Kong Design Centre. In addition to his speaking engagements, Anthony is often interviewed by the local media.
Anthony also advises a large Hong Kong Congregation headquartered in Rome which operates 2 of the largest private hospitals in Hong Kong as well as a number of schools at various levels. Through this organisation, Anthony has devoted a lot of time on pro bono charity work. He also advises the two hospitals on numerous medico-legal issues.
Anthony is a Notary Public, PRC Appointed Attesting Officer and a Civil Celebrant of Marriage.
